Meg Gholson

Meg has been the Program Manager and sole employee of Recycle Bikes for Kids since 2018. She wears many hats; volunteer coordinator, bicycle repairwoman, event planner, grant writer, and shop boss just to name a few. When she has the rare free moment, she and her partner Jerry love to ride their bikes on the Arkansas River Trail, climb Pinnacle Mountain, and play with their dogs Barley and Appa. Her favorite part of working for RB4K is helping to spread a little joy in her community through bikes and bicycle education!

Ron King

Ron is the founder of Recycle Bikes for Kids. Ron grew up in Benton, AR and has lived in Central Arkansas his entire
adult life. After attending Benton High School, LRU (now UALR) and Northwestern University and a stint in the Marine Corps, he worked for several businesses before starting his career in contract office
furnishings with his company Refurbished Office Panels. Ron is passionate in his belief that all kids deserve an opportunity to have a bike, and in 2008 as a way to give back to his community, Ron began collecting bikes in his warehouse on East 6th Street in Little Rock to repair and give out to kids for Christmas. As word spread, the bikes starting rolling in from friends and family, and Recycle Bikes For Kids was born! Ron has been married to his high school sweetheart Sherry for 51 years, and most days can be found in the back of the RB4K shop tinkering on bikes and brainstorming ways to make our organization bigger and better!

Rachael BornÉ

Rachael joined the Recycle Bikes for Kids Board in 2018, after volunteering with the program for several years. She is passionate about increasing access to bicycles for adults and kids, and believes everyone deserves the joy (and mobility!) of knowing how to safely ride a bike. In her day-job at Our House, she helps to connect adults experiencing homelessness with the Recycle Bikes for Kids Earn-a-Bike Program, and coordinates the kids bike donation for Our House's Adopt-a-Family Christmas program. Rachael also serves on the board of Trust Tree, an organization that works to uplift girls in Central Arkansas through music and art. In her free time, she enjoys tending to her houseplants, spending time with friends and family and of course––riding her vintage Bianchi road bike!

Donna Lombardi

Donna has been involved with Recycle Bikes for Kids since 2009, before we even thought about becoming a “real” organization. Many years were spent fixing bikes, coordinating events, giving kids bikes, picking up and delivering bikes and, often unsuccessfully, trying to convince founder Ron King to clean out some of the unrepairable bikes around the shop. As the organization developed and we became a 501(3)(c), she took on finance and paperwork related tasks. Although she has physically relocated to Virginia where she and her better half enjoy riding the Rails-to-Trails, her heart remains with the organization she happened upon many years ago while searching for a bike for a foster child.

Charlie Hart

Charlie Hart is a retired Civil Engineer from ARDOT and an avid cyclist. He is Ride Director for the Wampoo Roadeo, a metric century bike ride that takes place on the 3rd Saturday of July. Charlie is Special Events Coordinator for Recycle Bikes for Kids and helped create the RB4K Dirty Fondo, a gravel ride in May that generates funds for the program. He and Ron have an unspoken competition to repair the most bikes for our program, and recruits friends from all over the cycling community to help with our mission. He can often be found kitted up and ready to ride a casual 50-miler when the weather is nice.
