CHRIS SCHAFFHAUSER

Chris joined the Recycle Bikes For Kids Board in 2017. He is an avid cyclist and former board member at Our House Shelter. He currently is a Board Ambassador at Our House. He’s passionate about getting more people on bikes, whether it be kids who have never had the opportunity, or the unsheltered community who rely on bikes for their transportation. He also runs the Tour da Delta Bike ride in Helena, Arkansas as part of the King Biscuit Blues Festival. He supports the Recycle Bikes program by organizing volunteer efforts to repair bikes, recruits bike drive donations with various groups and companies, and also helps coordinate bike giveaways in low-income communities around the state. He has also taken the funds for Tour da Delta and reinvested it into the community in Helena by purchasing and installing bike repair stations with tool and air pumps. Chris is a Regional Project Engineering Manager with United Parcel Service.
